The Alte National Gallery (Old National Gallery) showcases a range of artwork from Classical and Romantic through to Expressionist and early Modernist.

Situated on Museum Island, the Alte National Gallery is one of the city's most impressive galleries with it’s collection of 19th century art covering the period of French Revolution to World War 1. Exhibitions at the gallery feature masterpieces from artists such as Edouard Manet, Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet and many more.

A tour of the museum offers a unique insight to the artwork and the architecture of the building, construct during the mid 19th Century.
