The Brücke Museum is a small museum that's home to over 400 paintings and sculptures by a group of artists called “Brucke “.

The group was founded by four students from Dresden in the early 1900’s and the “Brucke”s critical attitude towards traditional painting saw the beginnings of an artistic movement later called “Expressionism”.

Situated in Grunewald , the Brucke Museums location mirrors one of the key principles of the “Brucke” group – the connection to nature and the natural environment.

The Brucke Museum exhibits over 400 paintings and sculptures as well as thousands of drawings and watercolours from Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Erich Heckel.
