The Museum of Decorative Arts or “Kunstgewerbemuseum” is set in Kopenick Castle and is one of the oldest of its kind in Germany, displaying large scale tapestries, extravagant lacquerware and wall panels along with valuable centerpieces, porcelain and silver allowing visitors to see art history and it’s influence through the ages.

Highlights of the tour include four paneled rooms, including the richly inlaid Renaissance panels from the Swiss Haldenstein Castle and Castle Hollrich.

Most of the items featured are of great value and include items commissioned by representatives from the church to royals.
