The Neue National Gallery is home to the 20th Century art collections of Berlin's state Museums.  Set within a striking glass building, the gallery presents a collection of work by Cubism, Expressionism, Bauhaus, Group Zero surrealism artists.

The museum holds masterpieces from popular artists such as Picasso, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee and Max Beckmann.

Art lovers can discover a number of important sculptures and paintings from “Brucke” artist group, who are credited as the founders of expressionism. A particular highlight found in the Neue Museum is “Postdamer Platz” by Kirchner, it’s a scene of this historic location shortly after the start of World War I.

The Neue Museum is a fantastic and popular art gallery that shouldn’t be missed on a trip to the city. Entry is free with a Berlin Pass – a saving of 10 Euros.
