The Olympic Stadium was designed by architect Werner March and was built between 1934 and 1936 for the controversial Summer Olympic Games in 1936. The stadium’s clean geometric lines are reminiscent of ancient sport facilities, and it has a capacity of 74,475.  

Today the stadium is at the heart of sporting life in Berlin, hosting football matches, including the final of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and other world class events.

Please note: Last admission 30 minutes before closing time. No viewing and guided tours possible on days with scheduled events.
