The Schwules Museum opened in 1985 is a permanent exhibition of the history of gay culture (primary focus on Berlin) between 1800 and 1970.
The museum is the only one of its kind in the world and the some of the pieces date back to 1896.
The museum exhibits a series of photographs, videos, films, sound recordings, autographs and art works.
